'Five Point' Horse Racing Form Analyser and Forecaster

Assessment of tomorrow's racing in a simple e-mailed text file.

We have all the previous UK runs and the next day's declarations. We get the forecast odds and calculate scores using the following rules:-

If horse has won its last race and runs again withing 7 days30 points
If horse was 2nd in its last race and runs again withing 7 days15 points
If horse has 3rd in its last race and runs again withing 7 days10 points
  
If horse is carrying less weight than its previous race15 points
If horse is carrying the same weight than its previous race5 points
If horse is carrying more weight than its previous race0 points
  
If horse has won at the same distance20 points
If horse has won at the same course10 points

I have a years worth of data to assess, so I now pick those whose points are more than 30 more than the rest in the race. (I should have learned from July last year!) It produces more favourites than I like but did get two 18/1 winners on the same day. July 2009 made a loss at a score of 20 above but would have made a profit of £6.06 at 30. The daily e-mail with the text file with all the calculations cost £9.99 per month.
